Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Presentify (“we”, “us”). They apply the moment you create an account or use the service, and they replace any earlier version you agreed to.

If you are accepting on behalf of an employer or client, you are confirming that you have the authority to bind them, and “you” means both you and that organisation.

You need a working email address and a password. Keep the password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you, and we cannot tell an intruder from a colleague you handed your credentials to.

One account is for one person. If several people need access to the same deck, invite them as collaborators instead of sharing a login. Accounts are not transferable.

We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the service, or in a way that puts other customers’ data at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.

The Free plan is a fixed lifetime allowance of three decks, not a monthly one, and it requires no card. Paid plans (Pro and Ultra) are subscriptions with monthly allowances that reset at the start of each calendar month, billed monthly or annually in advance.

Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we hold only the customer identifier Stripe gives us, so we can match your subscription to your account.

Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; until then you keep the plan you bought. Cancelling does not delete your decks. If a payment fails you keep access for a short grace period before the account returns to Free.

Allowances are enforced per plan and include a cost ceiling on AI usage, so a single runaway generation cannot bill unpredictably. We may change prices or plan contents, but not for a period you have already paid for; changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will tell you before then.

Your prompts, uploaded documents, brand colours, images, and finished decks are yours. We claim no ownership of them and we do not sell them.

To run the service we need a narrow licence: permission to store, copy, render, and transmit your content for the purpose of providing Presentify to you. That includes sending the relevant parts to the processors listed in section 10 — most importantly, sending your prompt, extracted document text, and slide content to Google’s Gemini API so a deck can be generated at all. The licence exists only to operate the product, lasts only as long as we hold the content, and ends when you delete it.

Only upload material you are allowed to upload. If a document is confidential, licensed, or belongs to a client, it is on you to have the rights to put it through an AI service.

As between you and us, the decks the AI generates for you are yours to use, edit, present, and sell into your own work, with no attribution required. Free-plan PDF exports carry a small “Made with Presentify” mark; paid plans do not.

Two honest limits on that. First, AI output is not exclusive: the same prompt from someone else can produce something very similar, and we cannot promise your deck is unique or that you can stop anyone else from using something like it. Second, we cannot warrant that generated text or imagery is free of third-party rights — a model can reproduce something it learned. Layouts, themes, icon sets, and the component library that decks are built from remain ours.

This matters more than anything else on this page. A language model produces plausible text, which is not the same as true text. It can invent a statistic, misattribute a quote, or state a confident number that exists nowhere. The generator is constrained to build from the content you give it, and the optional research pass returns the sources it used so you can check them — but neither is a guarantee of accuracy.

You are responsible for what your deck says. Verify every figure, quotation, citation, and claim before you put it in front of an audience, and never treat a generated deck as legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.

A share link publishes a read-only copy of a deck at an unguessable URL. It is unlisted, not private: anyone holding the link can open the deck unless you set a password (Ultra) or an expiry, and you can revoke a link at any time. We ask search engines not to index share URLs, but we cannot control what happens to a link after you send it.

Viewing a shared deck is counted. The owner sees how many distinct viewers opened it, how long they spent on each slide, and whether they reached the end — never names or email addresses. The privacy notice sets out exactly what is recorded.

Do not use Presentify to:

• produce or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative, or designed to harass a person;
• impersonate a real person or organisation, or generate material intended to deceive people about who wrote it;
• upload personal data about other people that you have no lawful basis to process, or special-category data you would not put in an email;
• probe, load-test, scrape, or circumvent rate limits, quotas, or plan restrictions, or attempt to reach another customer’s decks;
• resell raw model output as a competing generation service, or use the product to train a competing model.

Rate limits and quotas are part of the service, not obstacles to be worked around. Automated access belongs on the API.

Ultra accounts can create API keys. A key is a bearer credential: it identifies your account with no second factor, so treat it like a password, store it outside your repository, and revoke it the moment you suspect it has leaked. Usage through a key counts against your plan the same way as usage in the app, and everything in these terms applies to it.

The API is versioned and may change. We will avoid breaking changes within a version where we reasonably can.

Presentify is built on a small number of third-party services, and your content passes through some of them. They are all named, with what each one receives, in the privacy notice. Using Presentify means accepting that those processors are in the path; where their terms govern their own handling of content, those terms apply to it.

We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. The service depends on an AI provider that can be slow, rate-limited, or briefly unavailable, and generation can fail for reasons neither of us controls. Where a paid generation fails without producing a deck, the allowance it consumed is returned.

We add, change, and occasionally remove features. If we remove something you are paying for, or make a change that materially reduces what your plan does, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription from the billing page, or delete the account outright from settings. Deleting the account cancels any active subscription and erases your decks, slides, images, share links, viewer statistics, saved preferences, API keys, and usage records. Images means the image files in storage, not only the rows that point at them; the privacy notice sets out the order that happens in, and what we do in the rare case a file cannot be removed. It cannot be undone — export anything you want to keep first.

We may terminate for a material breach of these terms, or if we stop offering the service. In the latter case we will give you reasonable notice and a window to export your decks, and refund any period you have paid for but not received.

The service is provided as it is. Beyond what the law requires of us, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we specifically make no warranty about the accuracy of AI-generated content — see section 6.

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost or corrupted data arising from an inability to use the service. Our total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, on the Free plan, is nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We will update this page when the product changes. For a change that materially reduces your rights, we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use Presentify after that date means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current text.

This agreement is governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Presentify is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it. The operator’s registered name and address are available on request from the address below.

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
